Nichole.NYC is 6 months old next week! Whoo-hoo, what a ride! I told myself I'd reexamine whether to continue at 3- and 6-months, and since I'm still here you can guess what I concluded. (So many great things coming, be watching for it!)
These pictures are taken by my dear friend, resident genius, and NYC Party Scene Partner-In-Crime, Dee. (Here's her blog, here's her Instagram! follow!) She is brilliant. We took them during fashion week and we almost missed some things because we couldn't stop talking, encouraging, brainstorming. She's a hustler who hails originally from New Jersey and every time we get together brain sparks fly. She corrects me and is so brutally honest which is exactly how I roll. I sometimes wonder if we put 'World Domination' on our To-Do list it would actually get done. (Watch out Obama.)
I've been so introspective this week, really examining my personal and professional goals. Have you guys ever gone through phases like that? Perhaps with Spring theoretically here (43 degrees today-grr...) there's this sense of renewal, of hope, and of accomplishment. Mix these feelings together with the people in my life (again, personal and professional), and I'm full of gratitude. 'Blessed' is over-used, I know, but that's how I feel.
These thoughts also makes me examine the failures. It makes me want to be better and tender hearted and always more generous. It resets the bar for me which is always a good thing.
So this post is actually an homage to the amazing people I've met or gotten to know better since I started blogging. I am blown away at how those confident, kind, professional and just plain good people just keep rising to the surface. Their success has so many layers!
Oh, and I miss my hair. :(
