With the start of fall I started waking up early to work out. I am getting up at 5:55 which up until the summer seemed impossible. But I'm so happy to be getting that workout out of the way and seeing the city in such a different way. The trash trucks are banging around, the streets are clear, and the sirens haven't started screaming yet. There's a haze and anticipation in the morning sun, and the hosed-off sidewalks are so hopeful. Another day is coming and just for a minute as I'm dashing off, my heart skips a beat and all is right in the world.
