I have a freakishly large head. I don't think I would have ever noticed (and would have gone on thinking every hat I ever tried on was defective), if it weren't for my brother. Let's just say, freshman year in High School they had to special order his football helmet. In all of the five of us kids, 4 of us just have big heads. And loud opinions. Oh well. At least we have each other.
Sometimes if I'm lucky I can get a hat to fit if it's a womens Large (like this one from TopShop), but usually I just have to bypass them all together. This cute wool hat trend I've seen everywhere is one of the best I've seen because it's so functional - wintertime sun protection along with warmth!
