I am SO excited to be leaving for Alt Summit in 2 days. I won a ticket through their Instagram contest, and without getting too sappy, it was an answer to a lot of prayer and inward thinking. I had just hit the 3-month mark blogging, and was really questioning whether I should continue, whether my content was good, and if it was worth the sacrifice to my headspace vis-à-vis my kids and husband.
The next day I won this ticket. Along with that came a confirmation in my own mind that I needed to keep blogging, that the roadblocks and insecurities could be overcome, and that it's a great endeavor. It's creative, fun, and I'm learning a ton!
One of the hugest reasons I am doing this is the opportunity to get really creative with my content. Second to that is I get to meet new people and brands- that is wonderful. Fascinating. Meeting brands and forging strong partnerships is huge for me. It's such a welcome challenge and as I'm meeting new people, I realize possibilities are endless.
While at Alt Summit I will be going to a Sponsor Dinner Wednesday night with Wayfair. It is a great destination for all home goods and furnishings at low price points. So intriguing. I could point out a million different things in all their departments, but since I'm gonna be doing a lot of traveling in 2015, I wanted to focus on luggage!
I always have this vision of rolling up to the gate in coordinating bags and sunglasses and a head scarf, the ultimate in organization and punctuality. The reality is so different and ends specifically with my mish mash of luggage, bag of magazines, a leaking Diet Coke and the hope that I'll have priority seating. Great (matching) luggage is such a stress reliever when the features are updated like these below!
I picked out a bunch of different items all from Wayfair to replace your beaten-up bags and make you look pulled together and organized. Happy Travels, and wish me luck at Alt! Yippee!
1 - Everything needs to have wheels. This rolling garment bag is solid and uncrushable, but the thing that got me was the external pockets for undergarments, socks, and Spanx
2 - I have this toiletries case and I swear by it. The two compartments feel bottomless and open up wide so you have access to everything.
3 - I put all my liquids in one of these purposeful pouches and slide it in my purse so I can pull it out easily at security. The plastic lasts forever
4 - I love this inexpensive matching set, the bag slides on the handle and is the ultimate in carry-on coordination. Love the external pockets for the last-minute items and magazines
5 - This is the cutest little rolling carry-on to put under the seat! Patent leather! And the access is wide and from the top so you can get to things inside discreetly midflight; go to Wayfair to check out the features
6 - Hey this is Nichole.NYC for a reason- check out this adorable NYC-themed luggage! What a cute birthday gift for a daughter or niece. Definitely unique which is what you want when it comes to luggage- comes in 3 sizes including carry-on
7 - This 5-piece luggage set is the whole enchilada! A very cute, striped, and colorful enchilada
